Holidays, New Year, wedding shows… oh how fast it goes! And here we are already more than half way through February. We truly hope you had some wonderful moments during the dead of winter and are just as anxious as I for this coming year. And of course, the big question is…how many wonderful new engagements occurred this past week?

Last year we opened our Bed and Breakfast and it was absolutely amazing to meet and enjoy all of our wonderful guest. Though we partially close for the winter months, we are looking forward to welcoming so many more folks to our rooms and gardens again next month. We are starting to prepare Stepping Stones Garden for a beautiful 2019 wedding season, which will include an additional intimate reception area next to our chic barn (stay tuned for before and after shots). We are also making some wonderful changes to the pavilion to add more lights.

I know the garden bug has hit when I look down on my lap and realize my winter reading book is the catalog of perennials and annuals.

AND the fact that I can’t pass up a flat of those so welcoming primrose just begging me to take them to the gardens. I think we all had to run away from the effects of the crazy winds and snow storms, but the weather this week has inspired us to start organizing the plantings for our gardens!
