I think the first of the year is the best time to reflect on why I not only do, but LOVE to do what I do. Having Stepping Stones Garden wedding venue in the heart of the Skagit valley gives me the best of all worlds. I get to work in the outdoors, be creative (like with our barn), watch not so attractive blobs grow into beautifully exquisite flowers, eat my way to the barn and then back to the kitchen with our fresh produce, make and experiment with lavender honey, rhubarb sauces and other treats, AND most certainly meeting and helping engaged couples have the wedding of their dreams. I love my work!
Most brides have started thinking about their day years before they actually get engaged. They have a dream and they have started to visualize it. That’s where Stepping Stones Garden comes in….we make it a reality! I love it! Love is a wonderful gift…and I get to be with couples in love almost every day. Being part of one of the most special times in a person’s life is a gift. I love my work!
Sometimes it’s hard for brides to verbalize what they want so that’s when a tour around Stepping Stones Garden helps. Walking around the different settings and seeing the options help couples express their desires and then to take the next steps to make the dream come true. I enjoy working with couples and watching as they have those Ahhhh Haaa moments. To share creative thoughts and bring out the creativity in others is very rewarding besides being fun. I also get to work with caring creative professionals who love their work as well. Some were part of a photoshot at Stepping Stones Garden last summer and include Floral: Flowers by Shamayhttp://flowersbyshamay.com/ Linen Rentals: Skagit Valley Wedding Rentals http://skagitvalleyweddingrentals.com/ and Planner/Coordinator: Oohh LaLa Events http://www.oohhlalaevents.com/ . Did I say I love my work!
Don’t forget we have a surprise we will be sharing soon.
Cheers,
Kendra and the boys
